[00:00:00] Welcome to the Positively Charged Podcast. I'm a certified coach who's innately curious and loves discussing life, work, family, and everything in between. My guests and I are sharing how we step into our power and live a positively charged life. Let's dive in.
[00:00:24] Welcome. Welcome to another episode of Positively Charged. I am your host, Lindsay. It is June, if you're listening to this in real time, June, 2023, and we're about halfway through season three. I'm positively charged. I am loving the guests. So far it has been very well received. Uh, folks have been saying these individuals that have come on so far have just been so inspiring and their stories are so interesting.
[00:00:56] Every single time I post an episode, I'm getting all of you fans, uh, just really loving on. The individuals, the, the, the people that I'm bringing on the pod. So thank you so much. Keep loving on them, keep following them and keep supporting them as they go through their journeys and their businesses and their unique and beautiful offerings in the world.
[00:01:20] So thank you so much. I am recording this as a solo episode for a couple of reasons. If you've been following along on Instagram or on my LinkedIn, you will know that I am. Pivoting from being a full-time entrepreneur to a full-time employee again, and that is a really exciting and fulfilling experience that I have been going through.
[00:01:43] So I wanna say, Um, it was the very beginning of May when I was, uh, starting my recruitment journey, maybe the second week of May, and it is, I think this soon it was finalized that I took a position with a new company full-time and in an employee. Role, which is really cool. Uh, it took about a month and holy goodness listeners, the recruitment process is something else.
[00:02:13] So, you know that I worked corporate, um, before doing coaching ballet. And when I worked corporate hr, I never really had an interview. I never really had a recruit mess. It was, um, the company needed a receptionist and I was that person. Um, it was. Really easy and quick, and it wasn't a process in any means.
[00:02:37] I was 17, I was just a little baby, and I had never worked in an office before, so I really, there was nothing to interview to be honest. There was not a lot of experience that could have been talked about. And I worked at that company for 13 years, so I never really, like, as I moved up in the organization, it wasn't like an an application and interview process, so, With all of that being said, uh, it has been a very interesting experience.
[00:03:05] Uh, first of all, creating a cover letter and resume that is like reflective of myself and that, you know, catches someone's eye. There's that, and then actually blasting it out to all these companies. So I've applied for probably. I don't know, like over 70 jobs I would say. And I had had definitely a few interview processes in all of that.
[00:03:28] Um, And it was all really exciting and really cool. And a quick little story about this. I'm not gonna say the name of the company cuz I'm, um, I'm gonna wait until my first day and then I'll announce everything at that point. But this company is, Um, the, the job that they had posted, I applied to immediately.
[00:03:50] It was the first job that I saw when I started looking and I was like, oh my gosh, this is such a cool gig. So I applied and it was the first interview I had. And like I said, I had quite a few other interviews. Um, Through this process, but, um, with other companies. But they specifically was really exciting to me and really one that I was like, I will be so lucky if I can, uh, come to the, even through that process with, uh, with that organization.
[00:04:20] And so I did, I went through the recruitment process with them and a couple other companies and they happen to really jive with me and think that. It was a good fit. And so we went through that process of the offer and I accepted, and yeah, it, it, I start on June 26th. So this episode is coming out June 23rd, 2023.
[00:04:43] And I will be starting literally a couple days later at the SNOO gig. So if you hop onto my socials, you'll be able to, um, see where I landed. And so the, all that being said, there's. Lee's the looming question. Well, what about coaching by like, what is happening with this beautiful entity that I've worked so hard to create over the past five years?
[00:05:05] And, um, all my beautiful clients. So clients, if you're listening to this, I've already chatted with you so you know what's going on. Um, but for those who are, I'll say fans of the podcast or fans of me in coaching by la. There's a little bit of a changing of the guard happening. So with this new gig, I am going to be coaching.
[00:05:27] And so for obvious, um, conflict of interest. Reasons I won't be doing coaching for leaders, entrepreneurs, um, in my business anymore. So I am kind of winding down the main functionality of coaching ballet, which is truly coaching, um, all you wonderful corporate leaders and entrepreneurs out there. What I will still be doing is pregnancy and infant loss coaching slash family coaching.
[00:05:54] So if you go on my website, I'll link it in the show notes. You can see that that. Option for services is still there. Um, and so what that means is that if you are, um, moving through grief and need support in managing that in your family, uh, that I could still be a good fit for you. Um, I have a few clients who are stay-at-home moms and dads.
[00:06:15] That I absolutely love working with and what I call it, it's family optimization. So, um, even if you're not a stay-at-home mom and dad, even if you're just like a working mom and dad, like it's, I would call this more like the life coaching side of my offering, and that is truly being. Present and making a plan for up-leveling the kind of output of your family.
[00:06:39] So as we all know, when you have kids and you have, even if you don't have kids like I dogs, you have spouses, you have, well, well not hopefully one, but you know what I mean, A spouse. Um, there's lots going on, planning and execution. And relationships can be impacted, um, by coaching and figuring out what's best for your family.
[00:07:03] And then also there's grief, uh, involved in a lot of our, what makes it hard in our families. And so I'm still gonna be offering that very, very little on the side. Um, If that is, you know, something that you're interested in or wanna get support on, uh, that's gonna be an option. Um, what I'll also be offering is my intuitive services.
[00:07:25] So this isn't something that I've really advertised, um, prior to now, um, but it's kind of something I do on the side and the side on the side. So I, I'm a manifesting generator in human design. So all you beauties who know what human design is, you will know that. Um, I just can't. Stop. I just love doing stuff that fills my cup.
[00:07:48] And one of those things is intuitive services, so I'm gonna talk a little bit about that. Um, so what this means is essentially card pulls. So I work with a bunch of different card decks and I see them as intuitive tools that connect us to. Ourselves and the universe and whatever is whatever you call the universe.
[00:08:11] Um, and actually, and we have an episode coming up in a couple weeks, uh, for Catherine and I are gonna talk a lot more about this, um, a lot about like what kind of tools we use to connect to ourselves and our greater knowing. But I do offer intuitive services through my business. So that is, um, different levels of card reading.
[00:08:34] So you, I have like a big package where we do like a 90 minute reading or I have smaller things, like the smallest one is a two card reading over email, so there's no direct connection. And I use the tarot as well as other Oracle decks to create those. So if that's something you're interested in, you could reach out to me to get those services.
[00:08:53] Again, very little on the side. I'm gonna be working full-time, so this is nine to five, Monday to Friday, and I won't have a lot of energy or stamina outside of that because of course I have my family. But these. Are offerings that I really love and are really connected to. So if it's something you're interested in, there's a limited not to make it scarcity, whatever.
[00:09:14] There's always enough time and money and energy, so don't worry about it. Um, but I will have a limited space available for that, and I cannot wait to. Kind of hold space for people in just a different way. And those intuitive services really do that. And what I, again, you can go on my website and see it, but what I kind of look at intuitive services are is just asking through the use of tools, asking the universe for direction or.
[00:09:43] Comment on what is happening in your life. So it's not like fortune telling or, uh, witchcraft, nothing like that. It's just these are the tools. Let's look at them just as you would any other tool. Um, so for instance, an example could be like, I have this relationship going on and I wanna know what, what's, what's the real obstacle, what's really standing in our way of being the best we can?
[00:10:06] You can ask for a card. Reading on that, and it's like, okay, this is the information that's coming through the cards that you could either take it or leave it and it kind of gives you an idea of what might be in support of you as you navigate those difficult things. So there, there it is. There's the intuitive services piece.
[00:10:24] So if that's of interest to you, you can just reach out to me and set that up. Um, also I'm gonna be selling my stickers, so I have four stickers available on my website. Um, all. Uh, all of those are include shipping, so you can go on and check those out, but that will be essentially what coaching by is from a business perspective is just that family and grief coaching intuitive services and stickers.
[00:10:49] And of course, I'll be teaching yoga as well. Um, so if you have any interest in, um, a private yoga experience, please let me know and we could do do a setup for that. So, That is coaching Ballet LA in a nutshell. So the big question is, well, what about the podcast? Like, what's gonna happen? Most positively charged?
[00:11:08] The answer is, I don't quite know. Um, I said this in, uh, the season three opener. Um, I don't quite know where we're going, but I am, I love it. I love the podcast and I would love to keep doing it. Um, it just, it isn't free, so it costs money. So if my business isn't running, I just need to make enough. In my business to make this cost neutral.
[00:11:30] So that's kind of the, um, what I'm looking to, to do. So if there's any sponsors out there who wanna sponsor Positively Charged, so we can keep it going, that would be great. Um, and if that's of interesting, let me know. But we, I would really love to continue to bring these wonderful guests and stories of just people standing in their power and doing.
[00:11:55] The beautiful work that they do in the world to make the world a better place like that is what these stories are about, and I've had so many beautiful connections through the podcast. I just wanna keep that going and I'm open to the fact that that might be too much or not in service of me as I go through this new journey.
[00:12:14] And so, We will see. In other words, we will see. But dear listener, I did feel like I owed you a little bit of an update. Um, coaching ballet has officially wound down in the sense of the leadership and executive coaching offerings that I've, that I am doing, and I will be ramping up in my new employee gig.
[00:12:34] I cannot wait to share the company that I have landed with. I'm so proud and so. Pleased to be connected to them and I just know this is gonna be such a wonderful experience for me. So thank you for being here and supporting me on that. You can keep following along at coaching by, on Instagram or on my LinkedIn.
[00:12:56] Um, you can just find me under Lindsay Austin and you will still get inspirational coaching. Um, Memes and information, you will still see me shining through on that. Um, you'll see some of the intuitive services that I'm working with and, um, yeah, you please keep following along. I'm still gonna be, um, your coach on the Instagram.
[00:13:20] Um, Yeah, it's been such a pleasure and I'm so happy to share that the recruitment process is coming to an end. No more resumes going out. Thank goodness, and I am so grateful you're here and we will see you next week. Thank you so much for being here and listening to this episode. I love having you and sharing these stories with you is just giving me life.
